 Disaster Preparedness / Fire Protection   

  • Maintain contacts with DART team members and fire department DART personnel

  • Coordinate Fire Safety projects

  • Maintain awareness of countywide disaster and fire prevention projects

  • Monitor areas of concern with regard to fire safety, disaster preparedness.  

Neighborhood Preservation/ Environmental Protection and Enhancement/
Traffic Safety - Cheryl Douglas  

  • Organize tree planting or similar projects

  • Contact local tree disease prevention experts

  • Open space creation/ preservation

  • Participate in annual City clean up day

  • Spring/Fall Neighborhood clean up

  • Monitor Dominican College environment plan

  • Coordinate Traffic Speed Control Efforts

  • Neighborhood Crime Watch Program

  • Coordinate Neighborhood Noise Control Efforts

Community Connection - Sandy Miller

  • City Planning Commission and Building Department contacts and neighborhood building reviews

  • City Council Meeting and Board of Supervisor's Meeting minutes review

  • Represent the DBCNA at the Federation of San Rafael Neighborhoods meeting

  • Communicate with Dominican University event management.

  • Maintain contacts with - Dominican Convent, Coleman School, Marin Tennis Club, Marin Ballet School.

  • Neighborhood History - Coordinate articles for Newsletter, house hours, presentations at events.

Special Events/ Welcome -  Sandy Miller  

  • Annual Meeting and picnic organization.

  • New Neighbor Welcome.

  • Other events.

Membership - Jim Harrison  

  • Maintain up-to-date membership database.

  • Organize membership events at annual picnic and meeting.

  • Write membership articles for newsletter.

  • Increase membership levels.

Newsletter -  Polly Elkin 

  • Newsletter - design, edit, print, copy, distribute. 

  • Article Development - facilitate from the community or write.
