DBCNA Mission Statement

To foster and enhance a sense of community and pride among the residents of the Dominican / Black Canyon area neighborhood; to maintain the character of the neighborhood; and to inform and assist members on areas of common concern.

DBCNA goals and objectives are comprised, but not limited to, the following:
  1. To represent the neighborhood in dealings with the City of San Rafael and its departments.
  2. To provide a forum for and to be a catalyst for the discussion of neighborhood planning issues and community development plans.
  3. To serve as an educational vehicle by communicating pertinent issues to the residents and business establishments of the neighborhood.
  4. To assist members in measuring the impact of City and County planning on our neighborhood.
  5. To organize seasonal events that draw neighbors together and strengthen a  sense of community.
  6. To focus on the issues and needs of the neighborhood in order to identify projects to be managed and ideas for promotion.
